The Heschel Harmonizers' Spring Concert featured a combination of modern songs and Jewish choral music, from Michael Buble’s "Everything" to "Keren Or," a Hebrew song about shining the light of hope in dark times, and featured the Heschel Lower School’s a cappella group, The Heschel Half Notes, directed by Naomi Cohen.

The challenge was differentiating between the songs performed. I had only one vertical and four horizontal zones on the cyc so my choices were limited. I worked with the choir's muscial director to think about the different feelings evoked by each song and tried to give each a unique look. I also used the upstage-most row of frontlights to create background "hills" on some of the songs.
